Bruce Reed was born on July 11th 1954 in Warrensburg, Missouri.  Butch Reed is former professional football player and wrestler best known in the WWF and the NWA/WCW.

Butch Reed is a 1 time NWA World Tag Team Champion with Ron Simmons and 1 time WCW World Tag Team Champion with Ron Simmons.

Butch Reed came to the WWF and feuded with Tito Santana, Koko B Ware, Ricky Steamboat, The Honky Tonk Man, Superstar Billy Graham, Don Muraco, Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage till going over to the NWA later known as the WCW.

In the NWA/WCW, Butch Reed feuded with wrestlers such as The Junkyard Dog, Sting, The Steiner Brothers, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner, Eddie Gilbert, Tommy Rich, the Road Warriors, the Samoan Swat, The Four Horsemen, Lex Luger, The Fabulous Freebirds, Ron Simmons, Dustin Rhodes and Barry Windham till leaving the WCW to fight in indepentdent circuits.
